Baturraden

Baturaden located south of Mount Slamet has tended to increase cool air and cold at night. Besides having beautiful natural scenery, Baturaden also has many folk legends, one of which is the famous story Lutung Kasarung.

From Baturaden, you can see the sights of Purwokerto, Nusa Kambangan, also some beautiful beaches in Cilacap area. Parks Kaloka Widya Mandala Baturraden or Wanasuka Educational Baturraden a zoo as well as the educational tours which was inaugurated by the District Head Level II Banyumas H. Sudantoko Djoko on 17 May 1995. This place never get the achievement as the Visit Indonesia Decade Award 1991-2000 in Coronation Tourism Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region in Semarang on August 23, 1996 .

In the Garden Kaloka Widya Mandala Baturraden there are many animals that originate from inside and outside the country such as Australia , Asia and the Netherlands . The collection includes : Cow five feet , three feet Goat , Elephant , monkey ( Buing ) , New Guinea Crocodile , Python, Kaswari , Monkey , Porcupine , iguanas , bird of paradise , Bats , Kate Chicken , Chicken Pearl , Orang Utan , Bondol Eagle , deer .
